Black Ops First Strike Review: Should you get First Strike?



So, if your wondering if you should get Black ops First Strike, worry no longer!

MAP REVIEWS:

BERLIN WALL

The Berlin Wall is a fairly open map based in split Cold War Germany. Some people have dawned it "Campers Wall", but i don't think it's that bad. I like it, it's an average map. 

LightWeight Users: This map is good for you as you can zip from cover to cover fast. Be careful of snipers. 

Scavenger: If you use scavenger throw a grenade into each building, i got 5 kills this way.

Flak Jacket: Rush in to deal with those campers. No need to worry about Claymores

Ghost: Be careful where you go, stay under cover to avoid visual detection.

Hardline: Also be careful, don't go rambo unless your going for constant UAV's.

DISCOVERY

Discover is a multi-game mode map based in the arctic on a research base. Snipers galore. I recommend guarding one of the smaller buildings. 

Lightweight: Use your better speed to better guard multiple entrances.

Scavenger: Don't be afraid to let loose with all you have on a squad of enemies coming through the doors.

Flak Jacket: You have more flexibility to guard because of your resistance to most peoples grenades.

Ghost: You also have more flexibility. Set up ambushes using Claymores and silenced weapons.

Hardline: Be careful about watching all windows and entrances, never present an opportunity to the enemy to fire on you first.

KOWLOON

 

Kowloon is based on the mission "Numbers", you play on rooftops and it has ziplines. PROTIP: Don't use the  ziplines unless you have to. Also good for snipers. 

Lightweight: You are good for objective based games. Cutting through the map faster than anyone. 

Scavenger: Stay on the outside looking in, picking off foes. 

Flak Jacket: Travel closer to the center to maximize effectiveness.

Ghost: Stay hidden and pop out for brief gunfights.

Hardline: Stay with the scavengers, but don't engage in every gunfight.

STADIUM

Stadium is a map based in New York City around an empty hockey stadium named "Chance Stadium". Because the focus is on the stadium, the player can not enter the hockey arena.

Lightweight: Engage most of your gunfights in the stadium.

Scavenger: Outskirts of the map with brief firefights in the stadium.

Flak Jacket: Stay either outside or in the stadium, don't stay in one place to long. 

Ghost: Stay in the camping buildings. 

Hardline: Stay with the ghosties. 

I will review Escalation tomorrow. Zombie maps after that.
